Send Us Photos for our 2017 Calendar Contest!

Submit your photos for our 2017 calendar. Help us share the beauty, the fun, the peacefulness, the spiritual growth, and the people of Camp Luther and Keweenaw Base Camp. So grab your camera, head to camp and start shooting! We have changed our calendar timeline so all those who submitted photos for our 2016 calendar will be considered for our 2017 Calendar.  But we still need more photos submitted, especially winter photos.  Our 2017 Calendar will be available for sale in our canteen this summer. Here are the details: Submit your photo by May 1, 2016 via email to woody@campluther.com; or place on a CD  or DVD and mail to Camp Luther along with your name, address, and phone number.   Close-up photos of individuals must include signed permission to use their image in the publication of this calendar. Maximum of five photos per submission, please. Photographer agrees to allow Camp Luther to use photos in our calendar and other potential promotional publications. Pho

Meet the 2017 Summer Staff!

This summer, our 45 member Summer Staff joins the legacy of 71 years of Camp Luther summer staffs! These young adults have come to camp to be caring, Christian role models in a number of different capacities. Some are sharing the love of Christ by serving as counselors, others as coordinators for programs such as IMPACT and Junior Counselors. Still others are serving as specialty staff in the maintenance and kitchen departments. Each person, each personality, each skill set has been specifically selected by God himself to be here at Camp Luther this summer, and we couldn’t be more excited! After two weeks of staff training, we can proudly say that we have one of the best trained groups of young adults to serve families, care for children, keep camp safe and maintained, and make sure everyone is fed! Here We Grew!

A summer may end, but the memories and blessings are ours forever.  Thank you 2014 Summer Staff for touching and shaping lives of campers, adults, families and your fellow staff members with the love of Jesus.   You have endured sunburn, sleepless nights, homesick campers, messy roommates, mental and physical exhaustion, 10 thousand questions, 10 million mosquito bites, and a schedule that only a college student could handle, all for the sake of the Gospel.  Thank you for giving yourself to the Lord's work and sharing your lives with us.  All summer you have shared our theme "Here We Grow".  As our summer comes to a close, you may now realize that it is you in fact that has grown the most.  Thank you for serving Jesus at Camp Luther and KBC.  You are forever family.  - The Year-round Staff "For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints, I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my pray

Thank You, 2017 Summer Staff!

At the end of May, 45 college-aged servants of Christ arrived at Camp Luther for one unforgettable summer. For some, this was their fourth year as part of the Camp Luther Summer Staff, for others this was the first time they had stepped foot on camp soil. Over the next three months they impacted thousands of lives, became a family, and learned what it is to truly rest in the strength of Jesus Christ. Saying "thank you" isn't enough for all they've done, but we're going to try. Thank you for starting fires in the rain. Thank you for living by the motto "the water is always warm." Thank you for comforting homesick campers. Thank you for sacrificing sleep. Thank you for trying new things. Thank you for making each week memorable for campers and families.
